Dunoon - Glencoe Mug - The Impressionists
Dunoon fine bone china mugs are handcrafted in Staffordshire, England. They are produced to the highest quality using traditional methods which have been developed and refined over 3 family generations in the pottery industry.
This oversized mug, named after one of the greatest Glens in Scotland 'Glencoe', is one of our oldest shapes, yet remains one of our most striking. It has a great presence and our informative and educational patterns have remained the most popular designs on this shape. It has a flared top and a strong, comfortable handle so it feels very solid to hold.
Amongst the most famous of all art movements, Impressionism is instantly recognisable to almost anyone, from Monet's water lillies to Van Gogh's sunflowers. In this mug design, Caroline Dadd has endeavoured to describe the best of Impressionism and to name some the famous artists in it, with examples of their work.
